This standalone workshop will demystify amirgurumi - the Japanese art of crocheting cute characters. In this class you'll make an octopus keyring that will teach you the most commonly used techniques. Although this class is suitable for beginners you'll need to know how to crochet basic stitches already before taking this class.
You'll learn how to:
- Cast on using the magic ring
- Use the yarn under technique for tighter stitches
- Attach safety eyes
- Embroider design details
We'll provide you with:
- 3.5mm crochet hook
- Yarn
- Wool needle
- Stuffing
- Safety eyes
- Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits
- (Feel free to bring your own 3.5mm crochet hook and DK yarn if you wish)

These class will take place on Saturday 17th October 2026 10am-1pm in Dungannon Presbyterian Church Hall (not affiliated - classes are open to everyone).
