English Paper Pieced Coaster Class: Saturday 10th Oct 1pm-3.30pm

English Paper Piecing is like meditation in sewing form. It's a traditional form of hand sewing that uses fabric wrapped around paper templates to create a patchwork design. It's really easy for beginners to pick up and you don't need any equipment. It's perfect for keeping your hands busy while you're on the sofa and it's really portable for when you need a travel project.

In this class you'll learn the basic techniques of English Paper Piecing through the making of a coaster.

You'll learn how to: 

• Start and finish your thread
• Glue baste papers
• Thread baste papers
• Sew the pieces together securely
• Mix template shapes and fabrics together to get different looks

We'll provide you with: 

• Fabrics
• Paper Templates
• Thread
• Needles
• Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits

This class will take place on Saturday 10th October 1pm-3.30pm in Dungannon Presbyterian Church Hall (not affiliated - classes are open to everyone).
