Beginner Knitting Class on Saturday Afternoons: 12th Sep to 3rd Oct 2026 1pm-3pm

Learn to knit in Dungannon in our beginner-level class. In 4 weekly sessions, Jill will teach you a variety of knitting techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. You'll develop a foundational base of knowledge and skills so that you can continue to knit with confidence once the course has finished. 

These classes will take place on Saturday afternoons 1pm-3pm in Dungannon Presbyterian Church Hall (not affiliated - classes are open to everyone). The dates are 12th Sep, 19th Sep, 26th Sep, 3rd Oct. 

You'll make: 

• A mitred dishcloth
• A reversible headband
  

You'll learn how to: 

• Cast on
• Make basic stitches 
• Knit flat
  
• Cast off
• Change colour
• Sew in ends
• Seaming using mattress stitch
• Follow a pattern

We'll provide you with: 

• 4mm knitting needles
• Yarn
• Wool needle
• Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits
• (Feel free to bring your own knitting needles and DK yarn if you wish)

These classes are intended for individuals aged 16 and over. If your teenager is under 16 but would like to attend we may consider this if they can attend with someone over 16 and with parental consent - please contact me via email before booking at info@knitstitchchill.co.uk to discuss further.
